NCC HQ is at Delhi. Headed by Director General NCC, commanded by Lt. General. Every state having directorate HQ headed by Dy. Director General NCC having the rank of Brigadier. Then comes Group HQ commanded by the rank of Colonel, and at Bn level Lt. Colonel.
Parliment approved the raising of NCC in 1948. Maharashtra State Directorate Head Quarter is at Mumbai. Now Brig., R.C. sharad is the Dy. Director General Maharashtra State comprises of 7 Groups. Our college comes under Amravati Group 11 Maharashtra Battalian NCC, Akola.
College NCC Unit started in the year 1964. Major M. S. Bapat and Captain S. S Sardesai shouldered the responsibilities of unit and brought laurels to the college. After Captain S. S Sardesai, Prof. D. R. Baheti worked as caretaker upto August 1986.
In Sept. 1986 Prof. P B Modak after successful completion of his pre-commission course at All India Officers Training School Kampthee sworn as commissioned officer as 2nd Lieutanant in NCC.
Major P B Modak took over the charge of College Unit & strength of cadets has ben increased to 106. The progress made under his regime upto this movement is very good.
In 2012 Dr. Anil M. Tirkar took over the charge as a caretaker. In 23 Dec. 2013 to 22 March 2014 after successful completion of his Pre-Commission course at All India Officers Training Academy, Kamptee sworn as commissioned officer as a Lieutanant in NCC and after completion of successful Refresher Training Cource he has been awarded a rank of Captain in 2022.
Capt. Anil M. Tirkar Amravati NCC Group felicitated him with best ANO award in 2018. In 2019 Girector General of NCC awarded him with DG Commendation Card. Capt. Anil M. Tirkar keep a feather of highest award in a diadem for the institute with Rajya Raksha Mantri award given by Ministry of Defence, New Delhi in 2021.
