National Service Scheme [N.S.S.]
The National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) was introduced on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in 1969, with the aim of developing students’ personalities through community service. At our college, the N.S.S. unit has been a cornerstone of social outreach and student development since its inception.
A Legacy of Leadership
Our N.S.S. unit has been guided by a series of dedicated leaders who have championed the spirit of social service.
- Prof. V.L. Deshpande initiated the N.S.S. program at the college.
- The work was carried forward by Prof. K.P. Paropte, Prof. G.G. Gondane, Dr. M.C. Dabre, and Dr. V.K. Mishra.
- The activity was then led by Dr. J.H. Lahoti.
- Currently, Prof. R.L. Yeul, J.R. Maheshwari, and Dr. N. N. Chotiya are successfully leading the unit.
Under the guidance of these leaders, our N.S.S. unit has made significant contributions to society through various activities, which are detailed in our annual reports.
