On the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti, January 14, 1935, a new chapter in Akola’s educational history began. Visionary leaders came together to establish the Berar General Education Society (BGES) with a clear mission: to provide high-quality education and empower society. | 1958 | Introduction of the Law Faculty in Sitabai Arts College. |
| 1961 - 62 | Establishment of Kisanlal Nathmal College of Arts & Commerce in Karanja (Lad). |
| 1964 | Founding of Smt. Laxmibai Radhakisan Toshniwal College of Commerce, made possible by a donaΖon of 3 acres of land and βΉ25,000. |
| 1966 | Introduction of the Science Faculty at Sitabai Arts College. |
| 1970 | Establishment of an independent Science College, with support from the Late Seth Radhakisan Toshniwal. |
